UK & EUROPE

Europe sometimes feels impossible to me as a single continent. Cross a border, or sometimes travel just a few hours, and the architecture, food, landscape, language and rhythm of everyday life can change completely. You could choose almost any one of its countries and spend a lifetime exploring and photographing it. Italy alone, a place I’ve returned to again and again, seems to contain an endless supply of beauty, history and wonderfully ordinary moments.

That richness makes Europe endlessly rewarding to photograph, from grand cities and ancient ruins to village streets, markets and everyday life. And then there’s London. Of all the places I’ve returned to around the world, it holds a particular piece of my heart, familiar enough now to feel a little like coming home but still capable of surprising me.
